Issogne Castle is one of the most famous castles of the Aosta Valley. It is located in the city of Issogne, on the right bank of the Dora and appears as a majestic Renaissance house, creating a contrast with the austere castle of Verres.
Famous are its inner courtyard with pomegranate fountain and colorful arcades, a rare example of medieval Alpine painting, with its cycle of frescoes: scenes from the daily life of the late Middle Ages.
