A copy of the David di Michelangelo statue was placed on Piazza della Signoria only in 1910. The original David is located in the Galleria dell’Accademia.

David is a masterpiece statue of Renaissance sculpture created by Michelangelo between 1501 and 1504. It measures 4.34 meters tall (5.14 meters with Base) and is taken from a block of white marble of Carrara.
