Palazzo Strozzi in Florence is one of the most beautiful palaces of the Italian Renaissance . From imposing size (15 buildings were destroyed to make room ) is located between Piazza Strozzi and Via Strozzi, Via Tornabuoni, with three identical portals.
A true masterpiece of civil Florentine Renaissance. It was built at the initiative of Filippo Strozzi, a rich merchant. Work began in 1489, but only two years later Filippo Strozzi died (1491). His heirs have continued, but with difficulty, the expensive construction of the dream of Filippo.
