Ducal Palace of Urbino

Palazzo Ducale d'Urbino in Italian.

The Palazzo Ducale of Urbino is a tourist destination located on the side of the touristic site of the Cathedral of Urbino; the Ducal Palace of Urbino is one of the most interesting examples of architecture and art of the Italian Renaissance and a destination of tourist trips in Italy. The palace now houses the headquarters and the collections of the National Gallery of the Marches (Galleria Nazionale delle Marche), one of the largest museums of Renaissance works.
It is in the Ducal Palace in Urbino that the Pope Alexander VI received the Florentine delegation for negotiation. Within this delegation, we find Machiavelli, to whom this first meeting inspired the writing of his famous work The Prince.
