The system of the Palaces of Rolli (Italian: Sistema di Palazzi dei Rolli di Genova) is a legally established public housing system for distinguished guests welcomed by the Republic of Genoa in the late sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.
At that time, attended by many foreign visitors, Genoa was one of the greatest maritime powers of the Mediterranean; his company was composed, among others, by merchant bankers and wealthy ship-owners.
