The pedestrian bridge of the sea is a bridge for pedestrians and cyclists in the city of Pescara, with its 466 m long, the Ponte del mare is the largest Italian cyclo-pedestrian bridge and one of the largest in Europe and an excellent touristic sight.
This bridge allows to create the necessary continuity in the Green Corridor Adriatic (Corridoio Verde Adriatico), the bike path that runs along the Adriatic coast from Ravenna to Santa Maria di Leuca.
The bridge was inaugurated and opened to the public December 8, 2009.
