The Capodimonte Museum of Naples (in Italian Museo nazionale di Capodimonte) is one of the most important museums of Naples, it is located inside the homonymous Park, in a building named Reggia di Capodimonte, built for Charles of Bourbon and King of Naples, by the Roman architect Antonio Canevari .
It is an important art gallery which preserves and exhibits works, among others, by Giovanni Bellini, Botticelli, Caravaggio, Luca Giordano, Annibale Carracci, Artemisia Gentileschi, Francisco Goya, Simone Martini, Masaccio, Titian …
There is also a large collection of ceramics and majolica, and, outdoor, a botanical garden and the original hunting lodge.
