The Archaeological Area of Agrigento, Sicily includes the “Archaeological Park Valley of the Temples” (Valle dei Templi in Italian) and other remains located on the Acropolis and in various places of the city.
It was inserted in 1998 by UNESCO in the list of World Heritage. On a rocky outcrop that delimits the south of the plateau on which the classical city is rising, are the remains of Doric temples, of uncertain attribution: from east to west, from the coast 127 to Hill 70, Hera (Juno) Lacinia, Concord, Heracles (Hercules), Zeus (Jupiter) Olympian, Castor and Pollux (Dioscuri) and Hephaistos (Vulcan).
