Bardi Castle, also known as Castle of Landi, is an imposing fortress that stands on a rock of red jasper in the town of Bardi, in the province of Parma in Emilia-Romagna. The name ” Bardi ” is derived from the Lombards. The existence of a fort dating back to the reign of Berengar of Friuli. In 898, the castle of Bardi was sold to the Bishop of Piacenza Everardo, which makes it a refuge in case of attack by the Hungarians, who in those days were attacking the Po Valley.
