Dedicated to Our Lady of the Assumption, Reggio Calabria Cathedral is one of the largest and most impressive churches in the region, as well as the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Archdiocese of Reggio – Bova. Located in Piazza Duomo in the historic center of Reggio Calabria, the cathedral was originally built in the eleventh century by the Normans, who, after the conquest of the city against the Byzantines, began construction of the church in Reggio Calabria.
