The palace of Elders (also known as the Palace of Giano ) is in the town of Pistoia. Built between the thirteenth and fourteenth century, is still home to the city hall. It also houses the Museum of the city of Pistoia.
The construction started in the February of 1339 (the palace was in fact already built on two floors), in line with an ambitious final project; neighboring houses belonging to important families of Pistoia were expropriated.
