The Textile Museum occupies the restored rooms of the ex-shearing shop Campolmi, a jewel of the Italian industrial architecture of the nineteenth century, located in the walls of the medieval city of Prato.
The museum is a tourist destination in Tuscany which represents the historical memory and cultural interface of the Prato district, a region involved in textile production for more than 800 years, that now has about 7,000 companies that export worldwide tissues and highly innovative machines.
