The house-museum of Giacomo Puccini ( Museo Casa natale di Giacomo Puccini in Italian) is a historical museum located in Lucca and birthplace of the composer.
The house – museum occupies the premises of the apartment where the Italian composer was born on December 22 , 1858. The family of Giacomo Puccini moved here in 1815 and the musician remained permanently in the house until 1880, when he moved to Milan to complete his studies.
The museum contains original furnishings, precious objects that belonged to Giacomo Puccini, including dozens of autographs and youth compositions (the first work, the Prelude rediscovered in 1999, and the Mass for four voices 1880) , many letters from Giacomo Puccini, paintings, photographs, memories and valuable documents, such as projects and working copies of the booklets of the opera Tosca .
