The monument to Victor Emmanuel II (Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II), also known as the Vittoriano, in Rome is a monument located in Piazza Venezia (Venice Square) next to the Capitol. In the center of the monument rises the Altar of the Fatherland (Altare della Patria), while inside the building is the museum on the reunification of Italy (Museo del Risorgimento).
