Plebiscite Square (Piazza del Plebiscito, Largo di Palazzo or Foro Regio in Italian) is a square in Naples, located at the end of Via Toledo ,past Piazza Trento e Trieste.
Located in the historic center of Naples, with an area of ​​about 25,000 square meters, the square is one of the largest in Italy.
Piazza del Plebiscito was for centuries an irregular square, for the festivities. In the early nineteenth century, during the Napoleonic period, Plebisicto square has changed her face completely. The name of Piazza del Plebiscito was chosen after that, on October 21st, 1860, a plebiscite decreed the annexation of the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies to the Kingdom of Sardinia
